Ernesto Nunez

International soloist

Ernesto Núñez, Costa Rican trumpet player, is one of the most sought-after musicians in Latin America for tours and recordings. He has an extensive career that has allowed him to work with many of the utmost exponents in the music field. His admirable versatility ranges from classical to jazz, including contemporary, Latin, and Caribbean music. In the classical field he has worked with great exponents such as Andrea Bocelli and Plácido Domingo. In his experience with great classical orchestras, he has also participated with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Guatemala Symphony Orchestra, the Guatemala Philharmonic Orchestra, Central América Symphony Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra of the Dominican Republic, among others. However, his career also extends to Jazz, where he has worked as well with notable exponents of this genre such as Dave Weckl, Chris Botti, Justo Almario, Néstor Torres, Arturo Sandoval, Ed Calle, Walfredo de los Reyes Sr., Poncho Sánchez, Víctor Mendoza, and Abraham Laboriel. In the popular Latin and Caribbean music with Juan Luis Guerra y 440, Chichi Peralta y Son Familia, Juanes, Jon Secada, Cristofer Cross, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Alejandro Sanz, Luis Fonsi, Wilfrido Vargas, Danny Rivera, Pavel Núñez, Rey Ruiz, Richie Rey and Bobby Cruz, Milly Quezada, Eddy Herrera, Tito Rojas, Oscar D’ León, Aymmé Nuviola, Elvis Crespo, Andy Montañez, Cheo Feliciano, Ismael Miranda, Ilegales, Gabriel, Manny Cruz, Jhonny Ventura, Tercer Cielo, Juan Carlos Alvarado, Doris Machín, Redimidos. He has made a large number of recordings with artists as well as music for film and commercial productions. In 2021 he was invited to the most prestigious trumpet event in the world, the International Trumpet Guild Conference. Additionally, he has participated in important stages such as Latin Grammy, Viña del Mar and Premios Lo Nuestro and more. He has recorded several productions as a soloist, including the most recent Belucity, as well as being a B&S artist for Latin América.
