New Orleans Jazz at B&S Markneukirchen

The company B&S at Markneukirchen is partner of the annual “Seeking Satch Competition” at New Orleans. They are donating a musical instrument to the winner of the first prize. A reputable jury looks among the pupils and students for the legitimate successor of Louis Armstrong Satchmo. Now, this year’s winner Doyle Red Cooper came to B&S at Markneukirchen to get his B&S Challenger trumpet which was personally handed over to him by Gerhard A. Meinl.
He was accompanied by the president of the jury, the trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis and the honorary citizen and ambassador of the city of New Orleans, the pianist Thomas Gerdiken from Osnabrueck. Together with him the guests went to Berlin to perform at the Party of the Free State Saxony’s representation “Jazz at the gardens of the Ministries”. There Doyle Red Cooper could use his new B&S trumpet very well for the first time.
