Jens Björn-Larsen

Professor für Tuba an der Hochschule für Musik in Hannover

Jens Bjørn-Larsen has received a number of national and international awards. In 1991 he won the 1st prize at the ""Concours International d'Execution Musicale"" in Geneva, an event which marked the start of, for a tubist, an unusual solo career. Since 1987 he has been principal tuba with the Danish National Radio Symphony Orchestra 1987 - 2005. Jens Bjørn-Larsen is lecturer at the Conservatories in Malmö and Copenhagen, and was in 2002 appointed Professor at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover.
